Black Point

Entering Black Point.  That’s my wonderful paddle board on deck.

I’m not even going to try to catch y’all up on where we’ve been for the past three weeks in the “wilderness” of the Northern Exumas, away from the internet but in touch with nature.  Let’s talk about today.

We’re in Black Point, the second largest settlement in the Exumas.  It’s a charming, Bahamian town, friendly, welcoming, and beautiful.  We met some great folks in the Rockside Laundromat, which really is as great as everyone says. IMG_5369 We also bought some conch salad on the government dock, which this guy made to order. Then we sat on the dock and watched the people fishing and the nurse sharks and sting rays circling beneath our feet.
